Menai Straits search continues with appeal for information

Further to the appeal shared at the weekend relating to concerns that a person may have entered the Menai Straits, we did not identify any vulnerable people on or around the bridge at the time of the report.

However, we are still appealing to speak to those who were in the area at around 11pm to confirm if there were any further sightings.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Gibson said: “Through enquiries, we believe a man possibly carrying a rucksack walked along the bridge between 10:54-10:59pm before turning into Menai Bridge town.

“We are also aware that a group of four people, believed to be two men and two women, left the Anglesey Arms at 10:53pm and they appear to walk on to the bridge heading onto the mainland.

“We would like to speak to those individuals as they are on or around the bridge at the key time and may have some valuable information. If you know who they are, or believe it could be you, please get in touch.”
